Game Type enables interactive MCQ-based quizzes on story pages. Editors can create quizzes using the Quiz element in Bold CMS, and when Game Type is enabled in Page Builder, readers can interact with those quizzes directly on the published story.

Readers can answer questions, view their scores, and, if configured, become eligible for rewards.

Prerequisites

Before using Game Type:

• The Quiz publisher feature must be enabled.
• The Quiz element must be added to a story in Bold CMS.
• Game Type must be enabled in Page Builder.

Creating a Quiz

Editors can create quizzes directly within the Story Editor.

Supported capabilities:

• Add multiple-choice questions manually
• Generate quiz questions using Sage AI
• Add multiple quiz elements in a story
• Reorder questions and options
• Mark the correct answer for each question

Reader Experience

When readers open a story containing a quiz:

• They can click Start Playing.
• Answer questions one by one.
• View their score immediately after completion.
• If login is required, they will be prompted to sign in.
• If rewards are configured, eligible readers can claim them after completing the quiz.

Enabling Game Type

• Open Page Builder.
• Navigate to Story Page.
  
• Open AI Story Elements.

• Select Quiz / Game Type Settings.
  
• Enable the Game Type toggle.
