Dynamic targeting in Page Builder allows publishers to control ad placements based on the page context, such as Homepage, Section Pages, and Story Pages.

Using Page Type and Section-based targeting, ads can be configured to display only on relevant pages, helping improve ad relevance and campaign targeting.

Key Parameters

Page Type: Defines where the ad should appear.

Supported page types include:

  • Home
  • Section
  • Story

Sections
Used for contextual targeting based on story categories or sections such as:

  • Sports
  • Politics
  • Entertainment
  • Business

Targeting ID (Optional)
Additional targeting value that can be passed for custom ad targeting requirements.

  1. Navigate to Page Builder
  2. Select the required page/template
  3. Open the required Ad Slot
  4. Click on Settings (⚙️)

Configure the following fields:

  • Ad Type

  • Targeting ID (optional)

How Dynamic Targeting Works

Page Builder automatically:

  • Identifies the current page type
  • Matches the configured ad slot rules
  • Passes targeting values (if configured)
  • Displays the relevant ad based on the page context

This helps to create more targeted and context-aware advertising experiences across the website.
