- Log in to Bold CMS
- Go to Content → Collections
2. Open the Home Collection
- Locate the Home Collection
- Click on it to open the collection configuration
3. Manage Story Order in the Sorted Items Section
Within the Sorted Items section:
- Use the star icon to pin or prioritize stories
- Drag and drop stories to rearrange their order
Story positioning works as follows:
- Moving a story upward gives it higher priority on the homepage
- Moving a story downward lowers its placement priority
4. Publish the Changes
After finalizing the ranking:
- Click Publish
- The updated order will reflect on the live homepage
How Homepage Story Placement Works
The homepage layout follows the ranking order configured in the Home Collection.
For example:
- The first-ranked story appears in the first homepage slot
- The second-ranked story appears in the second slot
- Subsequent stories follow the same order
Handling Scheduled Stories
The Collection Sorter also supports scheduled stories.
By enabling Show Scheduled Stories:
- Upcoming unpublished stories become visible within the collection
- Editors can assign ranking positions in advance
- Once the scheduled publish time is reached, the story automatically appears in the configured position on the homepage
