Introducing SAGE AI, the latest addition to our suite of features designed to enhance content creation on Bold. Powered by artificial intelligence, Sage offers a range of capabilities aimed at streamlining the content generation process and optimising various aspects of your stories to revolutionise editorial workflow.
 

Key features of Sage include:
 

Headline and Sub-headline Suggestions: Sage can generate engaging headlines and sub-headlines for your stories based on the story content added on Bold, helping to grab readers' attention and improve overall readability.
 

SEO Optimisation Suggestions: Sage provides suggestions for SEO meta titles, meta descriptions, and push notification titles and messages, ensuring that your content is optimised for search engines and social media platforms.
 

Text Summarisation and Paraphrasing: Sage offers tools for summarising and paraphrasing text within your story elements, allowing for improved presentation and clarity of information.

Language Translation: Sage also includes the ability to translate content into another language, expanding the reach of your stories to a wider audience.

Sage uses a generative AI to suggest headline, sub-headline, meta title, meta description etc for already created content of the story.

Let’s see how to use the AI assistant for generating headlines and sub-headlines.
 

  1. Navigate to your BOLD.
  2. Click on Add New and then Story.



 

  1. Add the description or content in the text cards

Sage will do its magic and will create eye eye-catching headline and sub-headline.

  1. Scroll down till the text card
  2. Select the phrase or words to paraphrase
  3. Click on Magic Wand from the floating menu

Meta Title and Meta Description suggestions:

Now, let’s see how to generate Meta Title and Meta Description:
 

  1. Inside the same story, click on Manage
  2. Click on Show Advanced Options
  3. Under the Metadata tab, scroll down till SEO
  4. Now to add the Meta Title and Meta Description, click on the Magic wand

Let’s see how to generate a Push Notification alert message.
 

  1. Under Manage Drawer, click on Social Tab
  2. Click on Magic Wand again to Set the Push Notification Title and Message
  3. Scroll down till Social Share
  4. Click on the Magic Wand icon to generate the Social Description

Story Summary:

Now summarise a story with a single click. 

Once the story is written completely, add a Summary element and click on the magic wand. A 100 word summary is generated using Quintype’s Sage AI capabilities. This works in all languages.


 



Additional permission for Sage AI Generative:

The access to Sage AI’s content generation features can now be controlled using the ‘Sage-story-generate’ permission under ‘Content’ for all roles in the CMS. The permission has been enabled by default for all the roles.

Sage AI Translation Feature:
 

Sage AI Translation Feature


With Sage AI Translation Feature, stories can be translated from one language to another and created within the same publisher or a different publisher, based on the configuration. Please reach out to [email protected] to enable this feature.
 

Let's see how does translation feature work on Bold within same instance.

1.Create a story in English

  • Click on Add New>Story
  • Add the Headline, Sub-headline, Description and other story details
  • Save the changes

2.Now click the Home Icon to navigate to Workspace
3.Look for the story that we just created
4.Click on the kebab menu icon next to your story and select 'Translate to.'

A new tab unfolds, presenting your entire story flawlessly translated into selected language, from headline to social share message.


Let’s use the same story and translate it to Hindi, but this time, in a different Bold instance.
 

  1. Navigate to the workspace by clicking on the Home icon
  2. Locate the story
  3. Click on the kebab menu and select 'Translate to Hindi.'

Sage AI Pricing and Token Consumption:
 

Sage AI is an additional service offered by Quintype, available under a separate agreement (addendum) with its own pricing. To make the transition easy, here are the key details about Sage AI’s pricing and billing process.

 

Clients who have signed the addendum will receive 500 (Five Hundred) Sage AI tokens per Bold instance every month at no additional cost. Once the free token limit is exhausted, any further token usage will be billed as per the applicable rates.

 

Additional tokens can be purchased at a rate of 125 tokens per USD or INR 85.

 

Monthly usage limits can be set upon request. Please contact your CSM for further assistance.

What is the Sage AI translate feature?

The Sage AI Translate feature makes it easy to translate stories into multiple languages.

 

This helps publishers reach new audiences and expand into different regions by publishing content in their preferred languages.

 

How good is the sage AI-powered translation?

Translations are nearly 100% accurate for straightforward articles, like fact-based reports or content with less creative expression. However, articles rich in cultural nuance and creative writing, especially those using figures of speech, may not always retain their original impact after translation.

 

The key benefit of this feature is that it reduces translation efforts by over 80%, while still allowing human editors to review and refine the content for accuracy and style before publishing.

What are CMS configurations that are recommended for translating stories?

There are two types of Bold CMS configurations for translating stories, depending on the website's publishing language:

 

  • Translate into the Same CMS:
    This option is for translating stories from another language into the website's primary publishing language.
    Example: A Tamil news website can use this configuration to translate incoming English wire feeds into Tamil.
     
  • Translate into Another CMS:
    This option allows publishing in an additional language alongside the primary one.
    Example: A Tamil publication aiming to expand its reach to other regions or audiences can use this configuration to publish stories in a new language.

How is the Sage token consumption calculated for translating a single story?

Sage calculates token usage based on the number of characters in both the story content and its metadata fields. You can check the character count of a story directly in the Bold story editor.

Does the token consumption vary for translation to different languages?

The number of tokens used depends only on the character count of the original story. It stays the same no matter which language the story is translated from or into.
