Sage AI Translate FAQs:

What is the Sage AI translate feature?

The Sage AI Translate feature makes it easy to translate stories into multiple languages.

This helps publishers reach new audiences and expand into different regions by publishing content in their preferred languages.

How good is the sage AI-powered translation?

Translations are nearly 100% accurate for straightforward articles, like fact-based reports or content with less creative expression. However, articles rich in cultural nuance and creative writing, especially those using figures of speech, may not always retain their original impact after translation.

The key benefit of this feature is that it reduces translation efforts by over 80%, while still allowing human editors to review and refine the content for accuracy and style before publishing.

What are CMS configurations that are recommended for translating stories?

There are two types of Bold CMS configurations for translating stories, depending on the website's publishing language:

  • Translate into the Same CMS:
This option is for translating stories from another language into the website's primary publishing language.
Example: A Tamil news website can use this configuration to translate incoming English wire feeds into Tamil.

  • Translate into Another CMS:
This option allows publishing in an additional language alongside the primary one.
Example: A Tamil publication aiming to expand its reach to other regions or audiences can use this configuration to publish stories in a new language.

Both configurations can be enabled together if needed. To set this up, please contact [email protected]

How is the Sage token consumption calculated for translating a single story?

Sage calculates token usage based on the number of characters in both the story content and its metadata fields. You can check the character count of a story directly in the Bold story editor.

For more details on how character counts are calculated, refer to the examples provided at the end of this document.

Does the token consumption vary for translation to different languages?

The number of tokens used depends only on the character count of the original story. It stays the same no matter which language the story is translated from or into.

Sage AI Generative FAQs :

What is Sage AI Generative?

Sage AI Generative helps you create content easily by providing smart suggestions for different parts of your story in the Bold editor. It suggests options for the headline, sub-headline, social description, meta title, meta description, and summary— all in your website's language.

What is the average token consumption for auto-filling the generative fields in a story?

The number of tokens used depends on the total character count. Sage AI calculates token usage based on the combined character count of the story and the suggestions it generates for AI-supported fields.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved, becoming an integral part of modern society. From assisting in daily tasks to revolutionizing industries, AI continues to shape the way we interact with technology. This article explores the evolution of AI, its impact on various sectors, and the ethical considerations surrounding its development.

AI has come a long way from its conceptual beginnings in the mid-20th century. Early AI systems were rule-based and limited in functionality, relying on predefined logic rather than learning from data. With advancements in machine learning and deep learning, AI systems can now analyze vast amounts of information, recognize patterns, and make intelligent decisions.

One of the key milestones in AI development was the rise of neural networks, which mimic the human brain’s structure and processing capabilities. These networks enable AI to excel in areas such as image recognition, natural language processing, and autonomous decision-making.

AI’s impact extends across multiple industries, driving efficiency, innovation, and enhanced user experiences. Some of its key applications include:

Healthcare: AI assists in early disease detection, medical image analysis, and robotic-assisted surgeries. AI-powered chatbots provide virtual healthcare consultations, improving accessibility.

Business and Finance: AI enhances fraud detection, automates customer service, and optimizes investment strategies. Predictive analytics helps businesses anticipate market trends and consumer behavior.

Education: AI-powered learning platforms personalize education, adapt to students’ needs, and automate grading, making learning more efficient and engaging.

Transportation: AI contributes to self-driving cars, traffic management systems, and predictive maintenance in the automotive industry, enhancing safety and reducing congestion.

Entertainment and Media: AI-driven algorithms personalize content recommendations on streaming platforms, generate realistic deepfake videos, and create AI-generated art and music.

Despite its benefits, AI raises ethical concerns and challenges that must be addressed:

Bias and Fairness: AI models can inherit biases from training data, leading to unfair outcomes in hiring, lending, and law enforcement.

Privacy and Surveillance: AI-driven data collection raises concerns about user privacy and potential misuse of personal information.

Job Displacement: Automation powered by AI threatens to replace jobs in various sectors, necessitating workforce reskilling and adaptation.

Accountability and Transparency: AI decision-making lacks transparency, making it difficult to determine responsibility in critical scenarios like healthcare and criminal justice.

As AI continues to advance, researchers and policymakers must work together to ensure responsible development. The integration of AI with emerging technologies like quantum computing and blockchain will unlock new possibilities, further enhancing AI’s capabilities.

By addressing ethical concerns and implementing regulations, AI can be harnessed for the greater good, driving innovation while safeguarding societal values. The future of AI lies in a balanced approach that maximizes benefits while mitigating risks, ensuring that AI serves as a powerful tool for progress rather than a source of disruption.

AI’s influence on society will only grow, transforming industries and redefining the way humans interact with technology. While its potential is immense, responsible innovation is key to mitigating risks and maximizing benefits. By fostering collaboration between technologists, policymakers, and society, we can ensure AI remains a force for positive change and global advancement.
